Ray Dillon

After graduating from Penn State in 1970, Ray was an elementary Physical Education teacher for 35 years, retiring from the Mifflin County School District in 2005. He has always enjoyed Dixieland music, and after experimenting with the tenor banjo for many years he decided to study the instrument seriously - hoping to join a Dixieland band. When the Deacons had an opening in late 2000, he had a live audition and has been their banjo player ever since. Ray is the band's equipment manager and general handyman, and lives in Reedsville with his wife, Kim.
